Interventional Radiology RNs with CHI St Vincent have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. Interventional Radiology Nurses are vital members of the radiology team, providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. he IR Nurse provides critical nursing care to the patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
You have a talent for planning and coordinating which patients and their loved ones appreciate. You have the ability to think critically, creatively, and unconventionally when necessary. Project management is a natural talent as you will coordinate care between multiple patients while keeping your entire healthcare team on track with shared goals.

Responsibilities Providing education to the patient and family members: Includes ensuring the patient and family members understand the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing them with discharge planning/instructions
Preparing patients for procedures: Includes checking and verifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history
Administering medications including moderate sedation
Monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Diploma in Nursing from accredited nursing program or Associates Degree in Nursing required Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing. License must be unencumbered. 6 months of nursing experience required (New graduates would need to complete a residency program before consideration for this unit)  Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Previous nursing experience in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care or Emergency Department  Benefits of working as a Interventional Radiology Nurse in Little Rock, AR:
