Our law firm client is seeking a mid-level associate for their International Trade Compliance (ITC) practice in their Washington, DC or New Haven, CT offices. Candidates seeking to join their tight knit, collegial team should have two to six years of trade compliance experience, including familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Assets Control (sanctions) regulations and Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) regulations. Preference for candidates with experience investigating and drafting voluntary disclosures and developing and implementing compliance policies. A further plus for candidates who previously worked in-house or in government. Applicants must have excellent writing skills, an ability to work closely and extensively with clients and a good sense of humor.
