Job summary
This position serves as a SEVIS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Office (ARO)Primary function is to issue, track, update, report, and maintain immigration records under SEVISAdvise international students and exchange visitors on topics related to their immigration status
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Interprets, processes and signs forms for school transfers, registration, change of status, etc.• Provides active case management to an assigned caseload of students• Updates information and tracking of students and exchange visitors• Provides immigration and compliance information to international students• Provides direct cultural intervention and advising to students at risk• Serves as a liaison and supplemental support for campus resources• Oversees development and coordination of Host Family and Friends program• Plans and executes OIS-sponsored events and activities• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelors degree; supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience• Fluency in English and a secondary language fluency preferred• Experience with immigration, SEVIS, and Terra Dotta is required
