About the Department: George Mason University Office of Admissions is seeking a dynamic self-motivated, results-oriented individual to fill the part-time position of International Admissions Assistant. About the Position: The Office of Admissions serves students Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Total expected hours of work are 25-29 per week. This is an ongoing position, and we are seeking an individual who will become a long-term team member.
Responsibilities: Processing and organizing admissions application materials; Providing customer service to applicants (e.g., in person, by phone, e-mail, etc.); and Assisting with other duties and projects as assigned. Required Qualifications: Must possess a keen attention to detail; Ability to work as a member of a team; Demonstrated communication skills; Demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to the overall goals of the Mason Admissions Office; Must be comfortable working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations and college students of all ages, and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations; and Ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual; and Prior experience in a university admissions environment.
