Panorama is looking for a part-time intern (20 hours/week) to support projects within our Social Impact Department. This position would be of interest for those pursuing careers in areas such as philanthropy, nonprofit management, or public policy. Students who have taken courses in these areas as well as international studies, sociology, or psychology are encouraged to apply.
This nonexempt position reports to the Senior Program Officer. This position is available on a fully remote basis within the United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Administrative & Programmatic Support Develop and maintain contact lists.
Plan and prepare for virtual events, key meetings, and presentations, which will include setting up and managing Zooms, developing agendas, and recordkeeping
Support in creating and/or copy editing a variety of materials, including proposals, PowerPoint presentations, emails, one pagers, newsletters, and research briefs
Coordinate and schedule large cross-departmental meetings on behalf of team members
Maintain a Salesforce database and act as a resource and troubleshooting when necessary (Salesforce experience preferred but not required)
Data Management & Analysis Assist in gathering qualitative and quantitative data from nonprofit leaders from across the world from datasets, public documents, and surveys
Support the data analysis and visualization of data collected
Maintain a list of relevant news clips, literature, and resources for projects including topics of trust-based philanthropy, equity-based giving, and community grantmaking
Goals and Learning Objectives: Gain knowledge social impact careers, including the role of philanthropy and the work of nonprofit leaders to address critical social issues
Develop administrative and project management skills and capabilities
Increase experience with data management and data visualization
Position Requirements & Qualifications This internship is designed for undergraduate students in their junior or senior year in college or masters' graduate students. Internships will start in early/mid-June and conclude in late August/early September, with some flexibility and consideration given to your schedule and school system's calendar, as well as the possibility to extend on a part time schedule (20 hours / week) through the Fall 2024 semester.
We request a 10 to 12 week commitment with an anticipated start date of June 3, 2024.
Typical knowledge, skills, and abilities include: Demonstrated interest in learning about the social change sector including nonprofits and philanthropy.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through but not limited to social justice courses, extracurricular activities, volunteering, or other work experience.
Ability to take initiative, problem-solve and work independently.
Ability to prioritize and handle simultaneous assignments while adapting to changing deadlines, priorities and workflow with success and accuracy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrable interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaborative environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn other software platforms
Compensation Panorama offers paid internships with compensation starting at $16.28/hour or the relevant city/state minimum wage where the intern is located, whichever is higher.
