We are seeking college summer interns to work at our East Granby CT location for twelve-week assignments / projects. As a Manufacturing Plant Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will be exposed to various aspects of plant operations, including production processes and especially continuous improvement initiatives including:
Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles, implement these improvements hands on, and participate in Kaizen events to drive operational efficiency Document improvements made to our Work Instructions Complete Assigned Projects Undertake specific projects or assignments related to plant operations, such as process optimization, data analysis, or documentation improvement Present findings and recommendations to management upon completion of the project Use an industry-standard root cause analysis tools (we will train on that) such as A3 Method and Ishikawa Diagram Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing or operations. Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and processes is preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus. Safety Requirements
