The Memphis Grizzlies is looking for a Full-Time Intern to join the game presentation team as of July 5, 2023. In this paid internship role, you will contribute to the development of Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Hustle games and events, located in Memphis, TN. and Southaven, Mississippi, with the goal of creating a unique, entertaining and fans-first experience. The internship program with Live Entertainment will provide the opportunity to learn from seasoned sports entertainment professionals and creatives and develop core skills necessary for a career in promotions, game presentations, and live entertainment. Assist with game elements including, but not limited to, back of house room allocation and set-up, credentials, printing/delivering scripts, props, talent bookings and logistics for both Grizzlies and Hustle Games. Is included in ideation and development of in-game entertainment; including on-court promotions, video pieces, fan interactive elements, mascot skits etc. Serves as a member of the Grizzlies and Hustle Game Night Staffs. Serves as assistant for mascot appearances and game duties as management sees fit. Maintain Memphis Grizzlies and Hustle prop and game supply inventory. Serves as a member of the Grizzlies and Hustle Street Teams. Assist in the operations of all seasonal Grizzlies out-of-arena events including but not limited to Martin Luther King Day, Season Ticket Holder Party, Tip-Off Luncheon, Open Practice, Auditions, etc. Other related duties as required. Must have a degree from an accredited university or community college OR at least 5 years of experience in live entertainment and/or promotional marketing. Highly organized with excellent administrative and time management skills. Able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, high intensity environment. Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact professionally with internal and external clients at all levels within an organization. Committed to ensuring superior customer service utilizing a fans-first model. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends, as required. Knowledge and passion for NBA basketball, including a strong appreciation for the fan experience. Candidate must demonstrate strong creative and problem-solving skills. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
