Responsibilities Program Development: Collaborate with the program team to brainstorm, plan, and execute youth-focused activities, workshops, and events and assist in creating age-appropriate curriculum and content aligned with organizational goals. Within Facilitation: Assist in creating age-appropriate curriculum and content aligned with organizational goals and actively engage with youth participants, encouraging creativity and positive interactions. Logistical Support: Provide assistance in coordinating program logistics, including materials preparation and equipment setup and support administrative tasks related to participant registration and inquiries. Participant Engagement: Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of all participants and gather feedback and assess program effectiveness for continuous improvement. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of programs and attend team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance overall program quality. Specific Responsibilities Maintains the policies and procedures assigned to the Youth Programming department Serves as a representative of University Recreation in dealing effectively with patrons and employees Helps to oversee the daily operations of Youth Programming, ensuring a safe and efficiently operated environment for patrons and employees Displays a positive, enthusiastic and professional demeanor when interacting with University Recreation patrons and staff Performs routine administrative duties, including report generation and daily user information Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements : Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program at JSU. Leadership and supervisory abilities. Passion for working with youth and creating positive learning experiences. Strong organizational and communication skills. Competencies: Technical Competencies Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Human Relations Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors. Contact involves troubleshooting, informing, exchanging information, negotiating, making recommendations, and giving information or instructions.
