Job Summary The Accounting Department at Aquarion Water Company is looking for an Intern!
Principal Responsibilities Perform various clerical and administrative duties for the fiscal department. Assist accountants, AP clerks, and business analyst in preparation of reports or schedules needed for month-end, and quarterly closes. Enter accounts payable invoices, scan and attach journal entries in SAP. Collect information, pull records, prepare documents for audit and various other administrative duties as assigned. Perform ad hoc projects as needed. Education/Certifications Undergraduate student seeking an Accounting or Finance Degree or relevant fields. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications. Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Driven and enthusiasm for work. Salary This position will run from June through the end of August.  Interns will report to our office in Bridgeport (600 Lindley St). Full-time (30-40 hours) is preferred.  Interns will be expect to work from 8AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday. The role will pay $16 an hour.
