UW Continuum College is hiring part-time instructors for non-credit certificate programs in Business & Leadership.

Responsibilities
• Teach to a set curriculum plan with clear learning outcomes and competencies• Prepare a course syllabus in advance of the course start date• Ensure that lesson plans and presentation materials for the full course are relevant and current• Teach all class sessions at the scheduled time• Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback on student assignments in a timely manner• Coordinate with other instructors in the certificate program to ensure curriculum continuity• Adapt instructional techniques based on feedback from students and the Program Manager• Complete instructor onboarding, relevant learning technology training, and other training as needed• Collaborate with UWC2 staff to ensure course materials meet University accessibility requirements and standards• Observe privacy laws and policies, such as FERPA and HIPAA• Participate in instructor meetings and information sessions
Requirements
• Minimum five years of professional experience relevant to the course topics• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds• Willingness to teach with minimal supervision and maintain high standards• Legal authorization to work and receive compensation in the United States• Desired: prior teaching or mentoring experience, particularly with adult learners• Desired: prior experience teaching/presenting in an online environment
