Free Library servicesJOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the instruction of course specific material within the School of Humanities. MAJOR DUTIES

Will provide 15 credit hours of instruction per semester with a primary teaching load in Navajo Language courses. Responsibilities include assessment, service on various college and department committees, maintenance of office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Dean. Development of program specific curriculum, course guide, syllabi, and other materials related to the program. Dual Credit instruction as part of possible teaching assignment. Performs related duties. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

Knowledge of curriculum development principles. Knowledge of current trends in higher education. Knowledge and skill in scheduling, planning Knowledge and skill in staff management and staff supervision. Knowledge of computer programs and databases related to educational application. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in classroom management. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the preparation of a variety of reports. Skill in working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Qualifications: Masters Degree In Navajo Language with 18 Graduate hours in Navajo Language or a Masters Degree in a related language or another field of study, with 18 Graduate hours in Navajo Language. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the objectives and functions of the "" Program in order to instruct students, usually interpreted to require two to three years of related experience. Dual Credit Instruction a plus. The following REQUIRED documents must be submitted with application in order to be considered .
