SUMMARY: The Department of Engineering and Technology is seeking applicants for a 9-month Instructor position in engineering and technology, particularly for industrial engineering and technology management programs. This position will begin 9/1/2024.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Areas of teaching assignments include, but not limited to:
engineering statistics, human factors engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, service systems analysis technology management program courses Faculty are expected to have a current knowledge and experience of the industrial engineering and engineering management disciplines and related fields.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: an earned Doctorate from an ABET accredited U.S. institution with a major field of study in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or closely related discipline. (ABD will be considered but degree must be in-hand prior to the first day of class). Fluent oral and written communication skills. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Experience in teaching industrial engineering, technology management, and/or engineering management disciplines Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team. PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: Manufacturing/Healthcare/Supply Chain/Logistics Experience Professional certifications or licenses within industrial engineering, technology management, or engineering management fields Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education Experience with online course development and instruction Experience with or knowledge of ABET accreditation Graduate level teaching and advising Fluent written and oral communication skills SUPERVISION OF OTHERS: N/A
