DCI, Inc is a renowned manufacturer of high-quality furniture, primarily serving the Student Housing and Military Housing markets. With over 45 years of industry experience, we pride ourselves on our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Installer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful installation and execution of furniture projects, leading a team of up to 10 installers. Your strong leadership and communication skills will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and project completion. This position is available only to residents of Asheboro, NC or surrounding areas. Due to the security requirements of U.S. military installations those applicants with a criminal background cannot be considered. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a team of installers in the unloading and assembly of furniture and accessories. Travel to customer locations throughout the US for 1-3 weeks at a time. All travel-related costs are covered by DCI. Use hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment such as dollies, fork lifts, and reach lifts. Coordinate with account managers and project managers to understand project scope, timelines, and expectations. Review installation plans and floor plans to ensure accurate project execution. Organize and prioritize installation tasks to meet project deadlines. Promote a safe working environment and maintain accurate project records. Qualifications Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent work ethic and the ability to develop efficient work flows on a project-by-project basis. Flexibility to adapt to continually changing working conditions. Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project. Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk during the majority of work hours. Ability to lift heavy furniture items when necessary. Valid driver's license. Standard background checks required when entering military installations. Previous experience in furniture installation is not required but is a plus.
