Inspector

Job Summary:
ICC Certified Inspector located in Portland, OR for a leading organization. This role is responsible for performing Special Inspections per code and project requirements. To be considered - must have either ICC Reinforced Concrete, or ODOT certification.

This is a direct hire opportunity with the ability to earn overtime compensation.

Required Qualifications:

Experience performing field testing and inspections on soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt
Willing to accept the following certifications:
ICC Reinforced Concrete

Responsibilities:
Perform Special Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
Activities will include performing field testing and inspections on soil, concrete, masonry and asphalt.
Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
Inspect placement of reinforcing steel and post-tensioned cables
Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
Input results and observations into daily reports

The essential functions of this role include:
Working up to 15 hrs. of overtime per week
Working weekends
