Summary
The Carrot Patch-Shoreline is a warm, community school with an emphasis on nature and the outdoors. We enjoy regular walking field trips to explore marshes, parks, and the town marina. An enchanting outdoor playscape created by landscape architects enhances children's play and exploration experience. And a separate house for infants and toddlers is so cozy it feels like home!
We need a special early childhood educator to who enjoys working with young children, and who truly appreciates the amazing world of a toddler! The ideal candidate has knowledge of child development and some experience in early education. This is a great opportunity to help create and maintain a welcoming, developmentally-appropriate environment for our toddler class.
Our school is located at Route 1 near the Madison/Clinton town line, and is easily accessed from I-95. PART-TIME Position Also Available Duties
You will share all classroom responsibilities with a teaching team, including creating a Reggio-inspired classroom environment and child-centered curriculum. Our program focuses on open-ended activities that foster curiosity and creativity. Assist in all aspects of classroom management and activities Help maintain positive environment with focus on pro-social development Engage in a positive manner with children, and learn their routines. Interact with parents in a warm, professional manner Requirements Some experience with young children, preferably in a group setting CDA, ECE credits, or post-secondary degree preferred. Will consider other candidates who are ready to learn and grow!
