Working in a team setting this person will use their journey level maintenance experience to conduct and oversee high level repairs on all types of rotating mechanical equipment including but not limited to, Offsite pumping station repairs, Conveyance systems, Biosolids decanting centrifuges, Turblex Aeration Blowers, Influent and effluent pumps, Bio-gas scrubbing compressors, gear boxes, conveyance systems and multiple piping systems. This position offers a 4-10 schedule to provide work life balance. About the Team:

Job Duties What You Will Be Doing: Provide initial and ongoing technical training, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment for maintenance personnel. Teach and develop entry level maintenance workers in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a variety of complex mechanical machinery. Including pumps, motors, grinders, blowers and compressors, centrifuges, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, scrub gas compressors and centrifuges. Teach and develop new employees in repair, design, or fabrication of plant piping and other heavy equipment using welding equipment, cutting torches and plasma cutters. Train employees on the safe operation of a variety of hand, power and pneumatic tools including grinders, drill motors, drill presses, band saws, ironworkers, table saws and hydraulic presses. Perform and/or provide expert advice on mechanical maintenance work. Inspect work in progress to ensure that maintenance works meets trades standards, schedules are met, and safe working practices are adhered to; monitor work quality and quantity; and provide suggestions on how to improve methods and solve problems. Plan and coordinate repair work, ensure availability of parts tools, special equipment, staffing and external repair resources. Coordinate with operations and other maintenance staff on work to be performed. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Qualifications You Bring: Journey level mechanical maintenance or millwright work experience (four years) in an industrial maintenance environment. Advanced knowledge of and experience in the application hydraulics, welding and rigging techniques and principles. Knowledge and experience in life cycle analysis including root cause analysis. Knowledge and experience in heavy equipment mechanical maintenance repair work and replacement criteria. Knowledge and experience working with industrial safety standards and procedures related to mechanical maintenance work. Knowledge of supervisory techniques and principles including human resources techniques and principles. Oral and written communication skills; ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge and experience in applying maintenance planning and scheduling techniques and principles. Experience in equipment operation and installation Required Licenses:
Washington State Driver's License It Would Be Great if You Also Bring: 10 years' experience in Wastewater Maintenance CDL Boom truck Operator Back Flow assembly tester Supplemental Information Working Conditions: Work Location: Primary onsite location will beSouth Treatment Plant 1200 Monster Road SW, Renton, WA 98057. Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week with flexible schedules. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. Union Representation: This position is represented by S.E.I.U Local 925. Physical Requirement: Ability to work all shift schedules. Additionally, you will be required to report to work during adverse and inclement weather conditions. Incumbents perform field work at a wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities and are required to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, climb in and out of tanks using ladders, and work around noxious odors and high noise levels.
