Job Summary This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair on the plant equipment and facility. Assist supervisors in leading a team of plant engineering and Maintenance employees to maintain facilities. Able to work safely and lead a crew, work closely with Supervisor to achieve safety, quality and production goals.
Job Description Electrician Operation 65%
Adhere to company health and safety standards Follow the established policies, rules and regulations and procedures Inspect, maintain and repair equipment and machinery to ensure they're always in proper working order Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as voltmeters and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed Care for machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use, adjusting parts and lubricating moving components as needed to ensure proper, efficient function Examine equipment and machinery on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process Order or request orders to be placed to replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low or is depleted Cut and weld metal pieces together as needed to fabricate new parts, assemble equipment or repair broken parts as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper precautions Complete work orders on time Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programs Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes Reports all irregular issues and problems to manager for solution Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members, co-workers, and outside contacts Duties include scheduling and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plant machinery, installing and commissioning new machinery, performing scheduled maintenance and identifying preventive maintenance requirements Ability to write clear, concise reports of daily production and other conditions that affect the operation of the equipment; perform work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and report potentially dangerous situations to appropriate personnel In addition, this position is required to evaluate and identify electrical component stocking requirements.

Repair or replace broken wires, cables, connections etc. Assist production teams with installation of electrical equipment Communicates with manufacturers of machines on serious problems as needed Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned Skills Required 2-3 years of experience Read and write specifications and standards. Knowledge of electrical systems, industrial wiring, and electronics Understanding of troubleshooting, installation, and repair procedures. Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermo graphic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.) Essential Job Dimensions – 15%

Work is performed primarily in a factory production work environment.  Works are done frequently under very loud conditions and near moving mechanical parts.  Temperature conditions can change fro m cold to extremely hot.  The chance to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles is high.  The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms. Also, the employee must be able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen; Also requires the ability to measure or identify using eyesight. Infrequent travel is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
