JOB DESCRIPTION The maintenance mechanic works with various departments throughout the manufacturing environment to maintain, plan, and provide mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns.
Essential Functions include: Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety and environmental procedures. Responsible for maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Assists others with the necessary techniques and knowledge of trade. Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion. Interprets mechanical prints, drawings and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery. Assists engineering and production departments in the development and execution of ideas to improve products, machinery and methods. Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements throughout supervisory personnel. Provides input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
