Industrial Designer

SANDMARC is looking to hire a product designer. Product Designer responsibilities include defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings and designing fully-functional products. SANDMARC® designs premium photography products for iPhone, GoPro & DSLR cameras. Founded in 2013 in San Diego, California, SANDMARC's mission is to enable photographers, filmmakers and travelers capture next-level content.
?? MUST BE LOCATED IN SAN DIEGO ?? Tasks & Responsibilities Identify opportunities for new products Analyze how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners Research materials and techniques Sketch drafts on paper or digitally (for example, using CAD) Use 3D modeling software to design products and components Produce prototypes and test functionality Improve the design of existing products Gather feedback from product users Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related field Work experience as a Product Designer or similar role Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools Good knowledge of 3D modeling software Experience with design programs (like Illustrator and Sketch) Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator Time management skills and detail oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision Benefits Work with a vibrant team Creative freedom on projects Receive SANDMARC photography gear Flexible schedule
