What you'll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Work hand-in-hand with the Scout team to identify the right suppliers to build and supply parts & services, including participating in pre-souring audits to confirm acceptability of new suppliers. Establish sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and product groups, lead the sourcing process up to and including contract award Act as program manager during the pre-production phase, ensuring that all industrialization at suppliers achieve the project requirements in terms of timing, cost, and quality. Evaluate and apply technical changes to parts / services, ensuring that cost, quality and delivery objectives are met. Lead cross-functional evaluation of suppliers' preparedness for mass-production, together with Scout Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams. Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and nomination agreements.  Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. Preference given to applicants located in the greater Columbia, South Carolina or Novi, MI vicinity. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.

2-5 years in purchasing environment with experience developing and executing procurement category strategies. 2-5 years of proven track-record in negotiations 2-5 years of project management experience 2-5 years of knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Ivalue, Coupa, etc.) Experience in SAP or other similar systems Strong Experience managing supplier performance Ability to develop, nurture, and maintain excellent stakeholder and partner supplier relationships Thorough knowledge of automotive, manufacturing or related industries Ability to take on additional special projects in addition to standard responsibilities. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other relevant area. MS Office Suite Experience Preferred Qualifications:
2-5+ years of experience in Construction / Real Estate related projects (i.e. Foundations, Infrastructure/Utilities, Structural Steel, Buildout/Fitout, Roofing/Siding, Landscape, Roads, etc.)2-5+ years of experience working through a Construction / Real Estate projects (Concept, Definition, Launch, Construction, Start-up & Commissioning, and Operations)2-5+ years of experience purchasing Industrial Services (Maintenance, MRO, Janitorial, Cafeteria, Security, 2-5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement with Production Components (line builders/integrators, and other CAPEX investments)2-5+ years of experience in Automotive Industry particularly in launch, startup, or new model programs Experienced in PowerBI or similar analytical systems  What you'll gain The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary: $115,000 - $135,000
