Job Description Our distribution business is experiencing transformative growth—with no end in sight.
That's why we're looking for an Inbound Sr. Manager for our Garland, UT, distribution center. In this role, you will serve as the in-house expert on all inbound logistics-related issues, working directly with shipping lines and drayage companies, and multiple internal teams—including Accounting and Vendor Management. The position requires overseeing the flow of our product from point of supply to our U.S.-based distribution centers and optimizing the inbound logistics network to minimize total system cost and maximize profitability while delivering superior customer service. Applicants should have a fully cross-functional approach, developing plans and metrics that are aligned with business goals and objectives creating value for our customers. The ideal candidate also possesses a strategic, analytical mindset that can help us implement policies and procedures that ensure a greater degree of accuracy and completeness of information from our vendors. A day in the office looks like this: Developing and implementing process and system enhancements to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency, accuracy and customer service levels related to inbound logistics Driving analytics to monitor logistics network performance and identify opportunities to minimize costs while maximizing service Identifying market trends and developing seasonal strategies to ensure adequate space availability and transit times for ocean and air shipments Conducting quarterly business reviews with core providers to ensure outlined service requirements are being met Managing relationships with third parties such as terminals, shipping lines and dray companies Managing a team of Operations Specialists. Duties include serving as a point of escalation for all import issues and hands-on operational management. Coordinate air and ocean shipments, and imports with thorough knowledge of related procedures and documentation Managing relationships with contracted ocean carriers, drayage companies, marine & air operations Qualifications Got the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work-related experience is required. Master's degree a plus 10+ years of progressive experience with broad import/export knowledge Working-manager mindset Advanced Excel and data analysis skills required Self-starter with excellent project management and leadership skills Ability to collaborate across all areas of the business A strong sense of urgency and ability to strategize solutions under deadline pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Information And here's our end of the bargain!
