We are looking for the right highly motivated and driven candidate to fill the role of "In-Vehicle Ethernet Communication Lead". This is a critical position, enabling effective and efficient management of the Ethernet topology, architectural guidelines, and configurations. Responsibilities What you'll do... The selected candidate will drive and own strategic decisions around ethernet communications across the vehicle: Serve as the cross functional / organizational leader for ethernet communications Lead definition of the ethernet topology as part of the core network topology Participate and/or lead various architecture and network topology proposals, evaluations, comparisons, and optimizations Lead, select, and publish communication systems and protocol specifications Determine in detail which protocols are used on the network and why Mentor and teach other networking team members on the latest ethernet communication topics Manage MAC, IP, VLAN, and other ethernet databases Coordinate with teams (ECU, system, etc.) using Ethernet for network configuration and traffic configuration needs Ensure Ethernet networks are complying with the latest security and cybersecurity standards Ensure network tools are developed, maintained, and released to remain compatible with the latest ethernet specifications and architecture Self-study and apply networking knowledge to other architectural constructs (e.g., AUTOSAR) Qualifications You'll have... Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience Experience and success negotiating across large organizational boundaries and the ability to influence other reporting structures 3+ years of experience related to Ethernet communication and networking of devices (automotive, IoT, etc.) Design of Ethernet networks, optimization, configuration, and management 3+ years of software development experience directly coding in either C, C++ or Python Even better, you may have... Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field 2+ years AUTOSAR Classic experience 2+ years AUTOSAR Adaptive experience 5+ years of software development experience including both embedded and non-embedded operating systems Progressive experience independently designing networks Experience working in an Agile team using Jira for issue management tracking.
