We have an opportunity in our Santa Clara, CA office for an Image Sensor Characterization Engineer.
In this role you will be part of the ST Santa Clara Imaging team with a focus on supporting local customers on pixel development and pixel characterization activities. You will also participate in R&D efforts to develop and characterize future IMAGE SENSOR technologies and upcoming products which will be introduced to the market.
Other responsibilities:
Write detailed technical reports on characterization results, as well as recommendations for next actions.
Develop custom optical setups for specific characterization needs based on customer applications.
Develop testing methodology and plans, for package level characterization. Utilize MATLAB and Python.
Assists applications and market development in assessing potential application of Imaging products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications.
Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Profile
6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Bachelors or Masters (Masters is preferred) with a major in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics or a related field with course work in mixed signal design, semiconductor physics and optical engineering.
2 years of work experience in Image sensors pixel characterization is preferred.
Understanding of semiconductor physics.
Experienced in using lab equipment such as scopes, SMUs, power meters, etc.
Proficient in Matlab or Python

At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base annual salary range for this role is between $127,900 - $183,100 USD.
