Job Summary: The International Division and University Housing seek a student-oriented Program Manager, with a keen interest in the promotion of cultural and language learning, to join their team. The ILC and HIPs Program manager is instrumental in helping to build a strong sense of community of across three programs through: event promotions and planning, program management, supporting cohorts of incredibly motivated undergraduate students, and collaborating with faculty and staff colleagues in the International Division and Language Departments in Letters and Sciences.
The three programs that the ILC & HIPs Program Manager will work with include the International Learning Community, the Wisconsin International Scholars Program, and the King-Morgridge Scholars Program. The focus of the position is with the ILC (60%), and with event planning/logistics and communications support to the Wisconsin International Scholars and King-Morgridge Scholars Programs (40%). This position is well suited for someone who thrives in planning and promoting academically- and community-focused events with curious and involved undergraduate students.

Responsibilities: Oversees the daily management of programs, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes in order to support student success in various areas of student affairs. Works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Responds to inquiries from University departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. 25% Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned area(s) of responsibility 5% Monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the Institution's mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 5% Advises and enforces Institution policies related to services in Student Affairs 10% Serves as the program or unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups 25% Schedules logistics and secures resources to support the operational plans of the program or unit 5% May monitor the program budget and approve expenditures 15% May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees 10% Communications support through the management of websites and social media in the promotion of events for current students and updates to program alumni Tasks: Collaborate closely with the ILC Faculty Fellows, International Division staff, and graduate student assistants on the coordination and administration of high impact programs including ILC, KMScholars, and WISc Program. Provide essential logistical support for the programs through scheduling, communications and outreach, enrollment management, room reservations, catering, purchasing, the coordination of speakers, and hosting programming/events. Coordinate and organize co-curricular activities and events with the different language programs. Lead, train, and supervise the Language Program Coordinators (students) and the Program Assistants (students) who live in the ILC. Meet with them on a regular basis. Serve as a connector between ILC students and other globally focused units on campus (e.g. International Academic Programs, Areas Studies, etc.). Attend meetings with collaborating units, and provide administrative support in organizing ILC meetings. Manage the ILC budget and purchasing card. Manage communication and outreach for the ILC, KMS Program, and WISc Program through maintenance of websites, social media, an events calendar, and newsletters. Support the Residence Life Coordinator in their role. Administer and collect evaluation data on the programs. Bachelor's Degree Preferred Minimum

Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of work experience with students
Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and experience with putting it into practice
Professional or personal experiences in multicultural or multilingual environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with residential life, language programs, and/or student programming and events.
Supervision of student employees
Demonstrated experience working both independently and within team environments
Demonstrated experience coordinating events, workshops, or trainings
Proficiency in 2+ languages
Schedule Requirements: Flexibility for evening and weekend work, with advance notice, during the academic year
Work Type: Full Time: 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary: Minimum $57,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
