Job Description The Cedar Rapids Design Center is excited to hire an IC/MCM Layout Design Manager to be responsible for a 40-person organization with 5 managers handling all aspects of Silicon IC, BAW Filter and MCM board layout.
Responsibilities You'll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. You will lead a diverse IC layout and RF MCM/EVB layout team as they provide layout services to product development teams designing silicon RF front-end modules (PAs, filters/duplexers, antenna RF switches, couplers, and LNAs) . Your team, with personnel located across multiple design centers, provides HBT, Filter, SOI, CMOS as well as RFMCM/EVB layout services. In this position, you can make a uniquely large impact on the success of the company by working closely with multiple teams and functions throughout the organization.
Your team will work closely with design engineers in the layout and design verification of IC and multi-chip modules for wireless consumer electronic products. One of your main goals will be to establish and maintain common best practices and workflows across all sites. Your layout team will interface with domestic and international design engineering teams in multiple design centers, across multiple time zones. Position is available at either the Cedar Rapids, IA, Newbury Park, CA or Irvine, CA design centers.
Job Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in the layout of RF ICs and MCM/EVBs Experience using a schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process Strong leadership skills, a self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job Previous IC/MCM layout team leadership experience Proficient using Cadence IC and MCM tools Ability to lead interactions with team customers Ability to prioritize and allocate layout resources Extensive project management experience Proficient in layout data review and DRC/LVS checking Excellent communication, organization and mentoring skills Desired Experience and Skills 15 years of experience in the layout of RF ICs and MCM/EVBs The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $124,400 - $235,700per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
