The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and cooling units for our residential and light commercial customers. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in putting out the best possible product. The HVAC Service Technician should have verifiable experience, be clean cut, and be able to pass all pre-employment requirements. We are looking for someone with advanced troubleshooting skills, knowledge of proper techniques and a strategic mindset to continue to grow our company. Rakeman Air has been providing excellent customer service and craftsmanship and we are growing at a fast pace. We are in need of a dependable hard working tech.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, perform repairs and install residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify equipment deficiencies
- Travel to job sites in a timely manner with the ability communicate with manager and dispatch throughout each job-submit accurate and timely paperwork
- Ability to communicate with the customer professionally and able to convey complex terms at the level of the audience
- Maintain a clean and stocked service vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Service and repair swamp coolers, hydronic systems and water-source heating
- Ability to work independently, interact with vendors, and obtain the correct materials to insure the job is done correctly the first time.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must have good oral and written communications skills
- Observe and comply to all company procedures and safety rules.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work after hours, holidays, weekends, and rotate on-call
- Must have gauges, meter, and hand tools needed to perform job duties
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices when required), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat. The employee may drive for extended periods of time, including all weather and light conditions.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3+ years as an HVAC technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- EPA Universal
- OSHA 10 or 30
Travel:
- Travel to and from job sites is required.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
