The People Operations Intern will be assigned to a functional Team Manager and an internship mentor or co-mentors. Work performed will be hands on, may contribute to a project as a whole, but does not directly impact the outcome.
At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to their course of study and/or the medical device industry.
This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30hrs a week), working with the People Operations Department at Kestra.
Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Be an engaged supporter to the People Operations team in key People Operations programs such as onboarding, performance review cycles, talent acquisition, training facilitation, and other cyclical and special programs Gather and report routine and ad-hoc data in a compliant and confidential manner to appropriate People Operations Team Members Prepare and analyze census employment data for purposes of surveys and presentations Apply Human Resources concepts, policies and procedures in a manner that adheres to confidentiality, federal and state laws, and aligns with Kestra's core values and mission Learn or Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent and performance management, and employment law COMPETENCIES: Passion: Contagious excitement about the company – sense of urgency. A critical skill for pressure situations QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience Required: Be currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate degree with a focus in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Communications, or related fields Preferred: Experience with the Adobe Suite, Google Analytics Understanding of content management systems (WordPress, Wix, Weebly etc.) Familiarity with marketing automation software like Hubspot WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor open office environment Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment Extended/overtime hours when needed Drug-free INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess unrestricted work authorization Must provide own transportation to/from work Must successful complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time Frequent computers use Frequent phone and other business machine use Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds TRAVEL: Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 10% OTHER DUTIES: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the Team Member. PROGRAM LENGTH: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 - August/Septmeber 2024 . Interns must be available to work for the duration of the internship.
Benefits Pay: $22.50/hour
