Job Description:
Overview:
We are an enthusiastic intern eager to gain valuable insight into the realm of Human Resources and People Operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
People Operations Team Support:
Provide administrative assistance for HR functions, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
Collaborate with various departments to cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment.
Coordinate HR-related events and activities, fostering team building and wellness initiatives.
Conduct basic research on HR trends and best practices to contribute valuable insights.
Onboarding and Orientation:
Assist in preparing new hire paperwork and employee orientation materials.
Coordinate new hire orientations, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
HR Administration:
Offer administrative support for HR tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing employee files.
Assist in maintaining HR databases and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee information.
Address employee inquiries and redirect to appropriate HR team members when necessary.
Employee Relations and Experience:
Aid in documenting and investigating employee complaints or concerns.
Assist in drafting employee communications and announcements.
Contribute to initiatives promoting a positive work environment and employee engagement.
Support the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
Training and Development:
Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
Track employee training completion and maintain training records.
Assist in developing training materials and resources.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Enrolled in an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters program.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Interest in HRIS, People Operations, compliance, reporting, and metrics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred:
Intermediate or Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in HR or Customer Service.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and patience.
Additional Information:
Part-time paid internship (10-15 hours/week) with a flexible schedule.
Ideal for individuals seeking hands-on HR experience.
Duration may vary based on academic and organizational needs.
