Responsibilities
• Manage employee health insurance, life, disability, and COBRA benefits• Conduct annual evaluation of new carriers and plans, and handle open enrollment• Manage 401K, profit-sharing programs, and flexible spending accounts• Process payroll including salaries, benefits, garnishments, and taxes• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports, and facilitate audits• Assist with hiring needs, recruitment, and employee training programs• Coordinate new hire and employee orientation process• Maintain employee records and job descriptions• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations• Investigate complaints, represent company in hearings and investigations• Protect employee and company interests, maintain HR policies• Manage and oversee HR/Payroll department and supervise subordinates
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in HR or equivalent• 5-7 years of HR and payroll experience• Possess HR certification from SHRM or HRCI• Proficient in English, strong communication skills• Basic math and reasoning abilities• Safety sensitive position, requiring accounting and cash handling• Valid California driver's license and personal vehicle insurance• Physical ability to perform essential job functions• Ability to work in a moderate noise level environment
