Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility: Implement and manage talent and human resources strategy, including recruitment campaigns, hiring, onboarding, training/education, employee relations, benefit administration, and career development.  Administer division level policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with company objectives and federal and state legal requirements. Manage hiring process, including developing job descriptions, managing applicants, coordinating interviews, pre-employment screenings, employment agreements, and job offers.  Manage administration of employee benefits, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, COBRA, and FMLA Develop and administer employee evaluations and compensation increase procedures. Oversee preparation of year-end non-discrimination testing, 5500 completion, annual 401(k) audit, and profit sharing & match calculation and verification Maintain employee records.  Monitor employee performance and compliance with procedures/policies, assist with disciplinary action as needed up to and including termination of employment. Manage employee relations including communication of changes within the organization, addressing inquiries, facilitating a positive work environment/culture, organize corporate events.  Monitor changes in regulations and make recommendations to management regarding compliance and best practices.  Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Inc. was founded by Mr. Lauri Heikenen and two partners in 1967. In the years that followed, Mr. Heikenen bought out the original partners and H&S remains a family-owned business. The business was started to manufacture and sell self-unloading forage boxes to farm equipment dealers. Indeed H&S manure spreaders are used on dairy farms as far away as Korea and Japan.In 1988, H&S chose to enter the large hay rake market. In the years since, H&S has become not only the largest player in that market, but also the design leader, with six patents granted by the U.S. government for new designs of bi-fold and high-capacity rakes. H&S rakes manufactured today range in size from 8 to 22 wheel. The rake business has significantly increased H&S's presence in ag-markets beyond the dairy industry.For the future, H&S is leading the pack in two developing agricultural technologies, wrapping high-moisture baleage, and crop merging in front of high-capacity, self-propelled choppers.
