Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite per week in Irvine, CA)
Overview: As a HRBP, you will focus on supporting our workforce by aligning HR initiatives to business goals. In this role, you will be a consultant to managers on people and organizational matters. You will work with employees to provide 'hands-on' support on all HR-related matters. You will be responsible for assessing and anticipating business unit-level HR needs, developing appropriate and compliant solutions to support the workforce, and partner with other team members and relevant stakeholders across the company to implement effective solutions in an efficient manner.
The impact you'll make: Consult with line managers and provide day-to-day guidance on HR mattersEducate and guide employees on HR policies, processes and proceduresResolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances effectivelyAnalyze trends and metrics relevant to HRCollaborate with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retentionEvaluate the use of HR products and services to identify areas for improvementIdentify opportunities to improve HR processesSupport the development and implementation of improvements to HR processesGather and analyze root causes of issues and potential risks, and develop effective and realistic plans to mitigate themSupport the implementation of innovative HR solutions to manage organizational change, engage employees, increase org effectiveness and strategic talent managementResolve employee relations issues efficiently and effectively, including conducting investigations when necessarySupport the effective and accurate administration of payroll and benefits processesEnsure the accuracy and integrity of HR data in systems and adhere to set HR governance practicesGather and utilize relevant data to drive key HR metrics related to talent attraction, engagement and retentionManage HR projects and champion HR initiativesPartner with managers to help align people management practices that support and drive high performanceCoach managers to proactively manage employee and team performance, and other employee relations issuesBuild strong professional relationship with managers and employeesGather data to form a good understanding of the employee engagement and cultural pulse of the organizationDevelop and support initiatives to maintain a high level of employee engagementAct as a supportive and enthusiastic team player and encourage a positive work environmentRepresent HR as a professional and trusted partner across all levelsPerforms other tasks as neededWhat you've accomplished: 5+ years of experience in an HRBP roleKnowledge of all HR functions and best practicesAbility to provide guidance and support to business unit managersExperience in development and implementation of people strategiesKnowledge of HR policies and proceduresUnderstanding of business unit objectives, operations and challengesAbility to translate business objectives into HR initiativesAbility to integrate HR initiatives with business unit operationsExperience coaching and guiding members of the business unit(s) they serveExperience coaching business managers on people management and talent strategiesStrong influencing skillsEffective communication skills (verbal and written)Excellent interpersonal and listening skillsAbility to build and maintain strong customer relationshipsStrong analytical skillsDemonstrated experience with HR metricsAbility to gather and interpret raw data, document and analyze findings and develop appropriate recommendationsStrong knowledge of employment legislationAbility to collaborate effectively with other members of HRExperience in conflict resolutionExperience working with virtual teamsStrong customer service orientationStrong ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of informationExperience in project managementStrong attention to detailThe base pay range for this position is $96,000.00 to $112,000.00 per year
