Augustana Apartments of Minneapolis, an independent and assisted living campus with memory care units, is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Associate to join our team. As the HR Associate , you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of HR at our campus. This position is in-person located on-site at our Minneapolis assisted living campus.
This is a Full-Time , benefit eligible position working a varied schedule. Human Resources Associate responsibilities: Be the lead on interviewing candidates and sending out job offers. Responsible for the onboarding processes for new hires including background checks, references, license verifications and communication with new hires. Responsible for scheduling and assisting with new hire orientation. Answers employee questions regarding HR, benefits, payroll and leave of absence. Process new hire and termination paperwork. Coordinate benefits and process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion. Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention. Manage unemployment claims. Records, maintain, and update employee information in payroll/HRIS system and employee files. Responsible for the day-to-day payroll related items and processes bi-weekly payroll. Other duties as assigned. Human Resources Associate skills and requirements: 3+ years of HR, benefits and payroll experience preferred. Must have knowledge of HR laws and processes. Experience working with HRIS systems, UKG Dimensions experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail, numerical abilities and computer skills. Positive communication and customer service skills. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations. Location: Augustana Apartments is part of Cassia and located in the Central Metro.
