Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a background in the manufacturing plant industry to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the plant, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and will be proactive in managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy development.
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process to identify and onboard qualified candidates, ensuring a streamlined onboarding experience for new hires.
Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and resolving conflicts to promote a supportive work culture.
Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including setting expectations, conducting evaluations, and providing constructive feedback to encourage employee growth.
Training and Development: Design and implement training programs tailored to the unique needs of the manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance and professional growth.
Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and internal policies. Develop, update, and enforce HR policies as needed.
Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-offered perks, ensuring employees are well-informed and supported.
Labor Relations: Collaborate with union representatives (if applicable) to negotiate and implement labor agreements while addressing labor-related concerns effectively.
Safety and Wellness: Promote a culture of safety by working closely with the safety team, conducting safety training, and facilitating wellness initiatives.
HR Analytics: Analyze key HR metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and implement strategies that enhance workforce productivity and satisfaction.
Change Management: Lead change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes, process improvements, or new policy implementations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. At least 5 years of experience in human resources management, with significant exposure to the manufacturing plant environment. Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices. Demonstrated success in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management within a unionized or non-unionized manufacturing setting. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
