Work Hours: Monday Friday; 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
The HR Coordinator provides operational and staffing support for our local construction company. This includes assisting with recruiting and retention efforts, facilitating employee training activities, administering HR systems, and supporting benefits administration and processing payroll. Additionally, the HR Generalist will engage with our people to understand and improve employee relations while striving to make us the employer of choice for our community.
Resolves personnel concerns by conducting investigations, documenting findings, and following up with involved parties to close out issues. Facilitate offboarding of team members, including conducting exit interviews. Update policies and employee handbook. Helps in the administration of leave of absences and other time off policies. Handle confidential information in a professional manner, respecting employee privacy while maintaining company confidentiality. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws Maintain current job descriptions as positions evolve with management regarding staffing and organizational need What you bring: One to three years of related experience; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field highly desired. Demonstrated experience interacting and building credibility with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders. Collaborative approach and comfortable leading without authority. Must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience in designing, executing, and implementing HR programs Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws Experience EEOC programs and requirements preferred Experience administering FMLA Familiarity with a trade organization and its characteristics preferred
