The HR Events and Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various HR events and initiatives to support employees and promote a positive work culture.

Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage large and complex events and projects Planning and executing various HR events, such as: team building activities, Employee Christmas Party, Administrative Appreciation day, Application Station, culturally relevant HR events, etc. Coordinate with Training and Development with events Develops staff volunteer recruitment plans for events, including identifying job duties and coordinating with key staff. Administer employee rewards and recognition program to motivate and engage employees, ensuring a positive work environment and fostering a culture of appreciation and performance excellence. Special projects as assigned by HR Management. Identify opportunities to improve data efficiency by streamlining processes and eliminating redundancy Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HR projects and compliance activities. Assists in conducting internal audits and assessments to monitor and enhance HR compliance processes. Develop and implement HR compliance policies and procedures. Responsible for auditing and ensuring that all employee backgrounds are reviewed and updated on a regular basis. Collaborate with departmental leaders and staff to address compliance issues; provide training/guidance to staff on compliance matters. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with HR Management to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and tribal policies. Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities. Required: A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION : Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Knowledge of tribal regulations and federal laws relevant to compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance software.
Ability: Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
Skill in conducting effective compliance training sessions.
Capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge: Knowledge of tribal sovereignty and its implications on compliance.
Understanding of federal regulations related to employment and tribal affairs.
Familiarity with audit and investigative techniques.
Knowledge of best practices in compliance management.
Awareness of cultural sensitivity and awareness within the tribe.
The HR Events and Special Projects Coordinator may be required to sit for extended periods, use a computer and keyboard, and occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds. This position may involve occasional travel within the tribal community for meetings and training sessions.
