Position: HR Assistant
Department: Human Resources
Supervisor: Director of Human Resources
General ResponsibilitiesWork together with Human Resources team to provide excellent customer service to staff, associates, and guests. Coordinate monthly HR events for staff, Guide Retreat events, Internship program, and tours of facility. Coordinate communication between HR and IHQ staff through daily announcements. Assist HR team as needed or assigned by Director of Human Resources.
Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).

Receive and screen incoming applicationsCollect applicant referencesSchedule interviewsPrepare interview packetsProcess background checksParticipate in interviews when requested by Director of HROnboarding
Conduct new hire orientationCollect and process new hire paperworkEnter new hire info into Paychex and HR ConnectionTours
Conduct facility toursCoordinate facility toursTrain tour guidesStaff Care
Prepare staff birthday cardsCoordinates card signing and floral arrangement delivery for special life events (new births, sympathy, etc.)Facilitate monthly encouragement/appreciation events for staffCollect yearly compliance forms (Statement of Faith, Performance Reviews)Maintain/update phone directory and distribute to staffMaintain online employee directoryUpload kitchen menu weeklyInternship
Plan team building eventsWelcome interns upon arrivalConduct regular meetingsDevelop strong and continuously improved programMonitor intern fundraising goalsBe a resource for interns when in needGuide Retreat
Coordinate event with participating departments and staffLiaison to attending participants and guestsOther DutiesConduct facility toursOther duties as assigned by Director of HREssential Job FunctionsMust have strong personal relationship with ChristBe proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and emailHave good written and verbal communication, including public speakingMust be well organized and detail orientedCustomer service experience and good work ethicFlexibility required as some events may require occasional weekends or eveningsAs a religious organization, Child Evangelism Fellowship is permitted and reserves the right to prefer employees or prospective employees on the basis of religion.
