Job summary
Provide general administrative clerical support to the Human Resources office.Receives and responds to various general questions from applicants, employees, or managers.Function as an employee advocate, to assure all employees have equal protection of rights and privileges.

Responsibilities
• Provide general employment information and appropriate forms to applicants or employees.• Ensure that submitted forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.• Attend to clients at the front window and direct them to appropriate HR staff.• Review, verify, and process personnel documents.• Maintain and review employment applications.• Process incoming payroll actions.• Process incoming mail.• Review and prepare applicant listings for each vacancy announcement.• Assist with requests to view employee Official Personnel Files (OPF).• Coordinate requests for temporary packets and assist with new projects and tasks.
Requirements
• Knowledge of various HR manuals and internal controls.• Knowledge of employee recruitment, selection, and information systems.• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.• Knowledge of the tribal governmental organization.• Knowledge of Microsoft D365 system and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.• Ability to deal calmly and effectively in stressful situations.• Ability to understand and implement instructions.• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.• Ability to address problems, issues, and complaints tactfully and courteously.• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize tasks, and work independently.• Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep up with HR trends and practices.
