The Special Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing private dining and other special events in Polaris, our Rooftop Restaurant; Sway Restaurant, and other special events. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
The Special Event Sales Manager also host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the Food & Beverage, Sales, and Events Teams.
Other duties will include:
Special Event Seller: Sells and services the group and is responsible for creating the Event Order Focus on private events when Polaris is closed (Sun, Mon, Tuesday). Sunday night opportunity - Jewish Wedding receptions Sales training through department Events training (EO / Culinary) through Events and F&B Research groups that book within comp set / Buckhead with square footage of PDR (Knowland Readerboards) Focus on rehearsal dinners, retirement parties, smaller Bar / Bat Mitzvahs, Graduation parties (Spellman, Georgia State, Moorehouse, Georgia Tech) Outreach to Citywides for ICW receptions Private Dining Room: Hospitality events (pre / post ballroom events) / 'Green Room' Events DOSM sets Meeting Room Rental and Banquet F&B Goals quarterly Special Event Seller cross sells with Area Event Sales Managers within Hyatt (Centric / Grand) Special Event Seller attends local industry shows for bridal showers and other celebratory expos What you can expect from Hyatt: Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
