The perfect candidate should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar.
• Greet and engage guests while delivering top-notch service and presentation.
• Take orders, utilizing product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
• Enter orders into system accurately; track tabs, charges, etc. for end of shift reconciliation.
• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner to guests at the bar top and surrounding tables.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints/issues to standards.
• Opening/closing duties/responsibilities as assigned. Maintaining bar prep and delegating systems to ensure ingredient production.
• Take a leadership role as bar service liaison to management and leadership team
• Maintain complete product knowledge, pars and monthly inventory.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by Missouri liquor regulations, service procedures, and standards, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Train servers and new bartenders on proper bar procedures, new spirits and cocktails.
• Follow recipes using proper and contemporary techniques. Craft and create seasonal cocktail menu, and meet specific deadlines based on the role.
• Create, prepare and maintain house-made syrups, shrubs, tinctures and bitters.
• Lead tasting and cocktail/spirit presentations to upper management and special groups.
• Menu maintenance and formatting.
• Provide general support and assistance to the department, leadership, and company as required.
• Help to create, adjust and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP's) for bar staff, helping to achieve efficiency and top-quality output in their roles
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager and the Director of Food and Beverage.
• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned, to adhere to health standards.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. Refined verbal communication skills. Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
