Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Event Set Up Team as a Part-Time Houseperson with the Grand Hyatt Seattle!
The Event Set Up Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This individual is vital in the set up for events in our meeting space areas across our three hotels. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight and walk long distances. The hourly rate for this position is $16.28 to $17.63. The starting rate for this position is $16.28/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for four years, which is $16.61.Depending on experience, a candidate for this position may also be eligible to be hired as a lead at a "lead rate" of $17.28/hour, with an established rate of $17.63/hour for colleagues who have remained in the lead position for four years.
This position earns additional compensation through applicable automatic service charges applied to banquet functions. 2.5% from the service charge goes to the event setup team. 10% from the meeting room rental is distributed to the event setup team. 2.25% from the service charge for internal events is distributed to the event setup team. (where applicable)
An additional $2.00/hour will be earned for shifts worked that are designated as "overnight" shifts.
