Job Title: Hospitality Specialist - Room and Public Area Attendant
**Job Overview:**
We're seeking a meticulous and hospitable individual to join our hotel staff and contribute to the upkeep of our guest rooms and public spaces. As a key player in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and quality, you will play an integral role in ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience for our guests. With a strong emphasis on attention to detail and a results-driven mindset, you will help uphold our promise of a pristine and inviting environment that feels like a home away from home for our visitors.
**Supervision Structure:**
Your role will be under the attentive guidance of our Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor, ensuring clear direction and support as you navigate through your daily tasks.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Offer warm greetings to guests, assisting them whenever possible or upon request.
- Safeguard assigned keys and adhere strictly to our hotel's key management protocols.
- Respect guest privacy, closely following the hotel's policies for room entry and service.
- Efficiently strip and replace linens, clear trash from rooms, and maintain the organization of housekeeping carts.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as the lobby, restrooms, fitness centers, and outdoor spaces, ensuring these areas are welcoming for guests and visitors throughout the day.
- Proactively address maintenance needs by submitting work orders and notifying management of urgent property or grounds issues.
- Collaborate with other staff members as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
**Daily Tasks:**
- Complete the assigned cleaning schedule for guest rooms and public areas, ensuring all spaces meet our hygienic standards.
- Restock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies at the start of each shift.
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization tasks in guest rooms, hallways, conference spaces, and other designated areas.
- Ensure all storage and work areas are kept clean, well-stocked, and organized.
- Respond to inclement weather with appropriate emergency procedures to maintain safe entryways.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
- Be adaptable to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.
- Participate actively in all team meetings and training sessions, contributing to a supportive work environment.
- Record work hours accurately, coordinating with other departments to fulfill guest requests.
- Relay any safety concerns or property damage to supervisors promptly.
- Engage in special projects and perform other duties as needed, contributing your unique skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and the safe utilization of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Adherence to the policies outlined in the employee handbook.
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in using commercial cleaning equipment.
- Basic literacy in English to understand and communicate instructions.
