Responsibilities
• Assisting patients with product selection and training of home medical equipment• Gathering registration and insurance information• Processing information for payment according to payer requirements• Handling private patient information in a compliant and confidential manner• Maintaining store inventory• Attending to age and ability considerations of the patient• Providing patients with various medical equipment and supplies• Working on the medical supply store floor or in a call center environment
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Prior customer service, sales, healthcare, or patient care experience preferred• Prior DME experience is preferred but not required• Effective communication skills in English• Ability to learn technical tasks and follow written and verbal directions• Comfortable with technology and problem solving• Exceptional customer service and communication skills• Ability to multi-task and make good decisions regarding customer service• Physical and mental stamina to withstand fast-paced environment• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for locations requiring driving• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or private insurance preferred• Repetitive hand motion and current on applicable annual competencies
