High School Humanities Teacher

Holy Name High School - Chesterton Academy, seeks a devoted and talented teacher for the 2024-25 academic year. The position is full-time and would teach 9th-12th grade history and other humanities subjects such as literature, philosophy, or theology depending on the applicant's proficiencies.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience with classical learning in the subjects taught. Two or more years of teaching experience in a classical setting is preferred, but a passion for Catholic education is required.The candidate must be willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and preference will be given to practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy lead extra-curricular activities like sports, clubs, events and our Household system.
