This position is for a HERS Rater/Energy Inspector who is responsible for performing energy audits, inspections, and rating services, including blower door testing and vent blast. The successful candidate must possess strong communication, organizational, and operational skills in order to successfully complete projects.
Position Overview:
The HERS Rater/Energy Inspector is responsible for performing energy audits, energy inspections, and HERS ratings for residential and commercial buildings. This position will be responsible for following procedures and providing customers with accurate and helpful information.
Key Responsibilities: Perform energy audits, energy inspections, and HERS ratings, including blower door testing and vent blast. Conduct field inspections to verify the accuracy of data collected. Analyze data and develop recommendations for improving energy efficiency. Write reports detailing field observations, findings, and recommendations. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Keep accurate records of all work completed. Maintain current knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Provide customer service to clients, as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Proven experience in HERS ratings, energy audits, energy inspections, or a related field. Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and industry trends. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
