TIC Denver has projects in Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil Gas Chemical, and Mining across the United States. Its projects range from small capital work up to major EPC projects. Candidate must be open to traveling and relocating as needed.ResponsibilitiesProgram Management:• Ensure projects are properly setup and supported to execute the safety program• Conduct project site audits to review records, permits, field conditions, safe work practices, and assess employee knowledge of safety policies and procedures.• Ensure Project Safety employee is completing all their responsibilities• Ensure corporate programs and standards are executed• Lead safety business plan efforts for district• Prepare reports and game plan for every month DOR• Promote and own the safety program• Provide feedback for how we can improve as an organization - ways we can simplify and become more efficient/effectiveProject Visits:• Proactively go to projects to assess and work with the teams to improve• Majority of time should be spent on the projectsSafety Talent Development:• Mentor and identify development needs for Project Safety employees• Participate in interviewing and hiring safety professionalsBuild Relationships:• Collaborate and communicate frequently with Construction Management teams.• Collaborate with safety professionals across the organizationManage Incidents:• Accountable for incident management system data• Ensure projects are set up for effective treatment managementInvestigation Management:• Ensure proper root cause is identified and shared• Follow any corporate, group or district protocols for incidentsQualifications• At least Ten (10) years' experience managing construction projects in an environmental health and safety related area specifically on industrial related projects.• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a safety related discipline.• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred but not required.• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity.• Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills.• CPR/First Aid, Emergency Medical Technician (EMTA) certification and OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications are preferred.Other Requirements:• Regular, reliable attendance• Work productively and meet deadlines timely• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment• Perform work safely and effectively.
