Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar is seeking a Custodian who will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of common areas, the casino floor, restrooms, and restaurants.
Lead, train and develop required heavy duty cleaning skills Display solid understanding of all cleaning equipment and use of related cleaning chemicals Walk the entire casino and building complex, public areas inspecting and demonstrating procedures Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all guests and team members and Follow through on all projects completed and/or scheduled Know cleaning supplies available and how to use them properly Have working knowledge of equipment and be able to demonstrate its proper operation to others Attend shift and departmental meetings Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures Follow established key, radio and chemical procedures Follow and enforce safety and lost and found procedures and guidelines for energy conservation Required Knowledge and Skills Excellent communication skills Good organization skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and management Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty Required Behaviors Ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 environment Engage in good safety practices Available to work some nights, weekends and holidays Required Education and Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred At Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City , when we say "More Fun", we mean it literally.
