Responsibilities
• Performs all necessary processes required by the HIM Department• Responsible for the timely accurate processing of patient health information records• Ensuring the release of such information in accordance with applicable laws
Requirements
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent• Associate Degree in Health Information Management, knowledge of medical terminology, or certification in a medical field• Good communication skills, computer skills, and general knowledge of general office practices and protocols• Detail-oriented and able to multitask• Ability to work with numbers and files• Exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with patient information• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
