Summary of Position - HAND DEBRRUING & TEXTURIZING
The operator is responsible for performing secondary operations removing burrs, rough edges, and excess material on machined parts using hand tools or motorized equipment. Operators are also responsible for performing various types of surface finish texturizing to enhance the appearance and achieve the required RA. Duties/Responsibilities
Operator's duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following: Follow the router for specific processing instructions Review blueprint for specified angles, radiuses, or chamfers required and surface finish requirements. Deburr parts using up to 10X magnification. Maintain specified production rate while achieving acceptable quality levels. Handle parts to not cause nicks, scratches, or other damage to ID/OD surfaces. Keep work area and machines clean and orderly. Required Skills and Knowledge: High school graduate or equivalent. Must have basic math, English, and spelling skills. Basic blueprint reading is preferred but optional. Proper use and settings of equipment, air and electric grinders, buffing wheels, speed lathes belt sanders. Manual dexterity is a physical activity that requires considerable use of hands and arms. Deburr uses a microscope continuously for an entire shift daily. Able to lift to 25 lbs. Ability to identify critical surfaces and not damage during processing. Attention to detail. PAY RATE: DOE- $16.00 - $17.00
