The Group Product Director (GPD), Medical Education Marketing will lead all aspects of GU Medical Education Marketing & Strategy across the brands in the U.S. GU Cancer market, in close partnership across Prostate and Bladder Marketing teams. This individual will be responsible for a small team of marketers focused on medical education for HCP, Advance Practice Provider and Population Health Decision maker audiences. This person will be accountable for meeting key strategic objectives of each brand, and contributing to revenue performance in the U.S.
Responsibilities
The GPD will be directly responsible for all "Above Brand" aspects of the GU medical education strategy including in line brands and future GU brands. The GPD will be responsible for strategies to advance in line brand performance through medical education and prepare for future GU brand launches. This individual will also be responsible for partnering with the GPD Professional Promotion and GPD TLL for cohesive brand messaging across channels and KOL strategy.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Leads development of comprehensive marketing plans, including strategy, positioning, and messaging, to achieve business goals aligned to Medical Education Ensures medical education strategies, marketing assets and tactical plans are developed and performed in close partnership with Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Sales, Sales Learning & Development, Medical Affairs, and key internal partners. Lead team development of speaker bureau training and supportive structural framework development to support medical education brand strategies Strategic lead of GU advisory boards, analytics, and market research to generate insights for medical education marketing initiatives in partnership with the insights and analytics team Manage Medical Education budget, including team budget management Oversee tactical execution of direct reports; Provide coaching, development, and day-to-day management of direct report. This individual must demonstrate strong leadership presence through influencing without authority with high-level management, detailed orientation, and excellent strategic thinking. This position requires extensive interactions with multiple internal and external stakeholders. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Postgraduate qualification, PhD, MBA, or other graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of business experience with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated in-line marketing, sales or sales management/training experience executing marketing strategy is required. A demonstrated ability to partner and work with multiple agencies/vendors, manage budgets and projects, cross-functionally, and with cross-company teams of high-level managers and executives is required. A demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and driving decision making is required. Demonstrated ability to formally manage, coach, and develop direct reports is strongly preferred. Prior experience in patient/consumer marketing and oncology is preferred. Strong verbal, written and executive communication skills are required along with demonstrated presentation skills. Senior brand responsibility, people management, product launch, and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical development is preferred. This position is in Horsham, PA and requires up to 25% travel.
