We can offer a competitive package, great employee discounts, and special offers across JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys, paid parental leave, and novated leasing.The RoleThe Health & Safety Advisor provides effective safety and risk management support across the JB Hi-Fi Group to achieve a proactive safety management system.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the implementation of relevant and effective policies, procedures and strategies that reduce safety risks, reduce financial impacts, ensure compliance and demonstrate continuous improvement of safety resultsContribute to development and facilitation of information, training and coaching to increase skills, knowledge and awareness of legislation and obligations for key stakeholdersDrive store team engagement with safety activities and projects and achievement of key safety objectivesManage all identified safety incidents and hazards across designated business areas and implement appropriate controls that ensure legislative complianceProvide required data and statistics for monthly safety reportingWork collaboratively with the Safety Coordinator to ensure safety standards, risk assessments, audits, training, incident investigations and corrective actions are compliant with each state's legislative requirementsMaintain a high level of knowledge of legislative requirements and industry standards and provide advice and information to key stakeholders on any relevant changes or updatesEstablish and maintain professional and effective working relationship with all key stakeholdersDrive continuous performance improvement through risk identification and management across designated areasParticipate in ad hoc projects as requiredPreferred Experience/Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related business disciplineAt least 1 year experience in a role with key health and safety responsibilitiesRisk Management experience including safety risk assessments and making recommendations to control risksComprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act, Work Health and Safety Regulations and relevant governing bodies.Experience in Incident Investigation and formulating corrective actionsJB Hi-Fi Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
